This bamboo stool won a 2011 Taiwan Golden Pin Design Award for industrial design, and is a prime example of creativity in aboriginal cultures. Located at the Pavilion of the Aroma of Flowers next to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum is an aboriginal crafts and merchandise exhibit. Here, visitors will find collectibles from 14 aboriginal tribes in Taiwan. There are glass beads from the Paiwan and woven handicrafts from the Atayal. There is even tableware inspired by aboriginal culture. These unique items produced by different tribes in Taiwan are very popular with overseas compatriots.
